There’s something special in people that draws them to music. Focusing on this, amplifying this and expressing this are the main aspects of lessons with Steve. Each student chooses what they want to play, from their own favorite songs and artists. Steve has taught a wide variety of styles for 20 years, and continues to offer everything from rock to Bach, jazz to punk, and country to flamenco. He teaches guitar and bass, and can assist students with their songwriting, soloing, and their ability to figure out favorite songs on their own.
Steve recently released a flamenco and classical guitar cd that gets radio airplay on National Public Radio. He has performed for 30 years, and had extended engagements at The

Steve currently offers private and group lessons at TRI-CITY SCHOOL OF MUSIC, and has taught guitar classes through the Community Education program at
Steve’s experience includes the creation of guitar class programs for various public and Montessori schools, as well as the Skull Valley School, Guitar and Keyboard City in Phoenix, Portland Music Company in Oregon, and classes through Phoenix Parks and Recreation.
